Energodynamic
Vision. The aspect of Energy (Circular, geometric and other types)
Energodynamic.
This phase introduces the expression of the rudimentary component of nature,
and as a result of the human being, the energy which exists in every molecule
of matter and creates controls and regulates everything. It renders a
macroscopic vision of space with a minimum of means. In this last phase
of her work, Efi Athanassiou has accomplished to give, by all her expressive
means, a powerful visionary image of the Energy in the Universe.
The spaces and the movement are created rapidly by clear and contrasted
chromatic vibrations, that give an energetic, full of freedom character,
which reinforces the pictorial unity.
The forms of the image are rotating mobilized masses, which have been
conceived like forms of energy and light.
It is a visionary symbolism, the eternal universe in its evolutionary
movement. It unites the most important tendencies in painting under the
lyric polyphony of a new symbolism. It renders a macroscopic vision of
space and time and expresses the unity which exists everywhere in Universe.
Emits an increased consciousness, which is the quintessence of the aesthetic
experience. These works have been characterized: Energetic, Cosmodynamic,
Chromocurative.
These characterizations are justified because Efi Athanassiou, in this
last phase of her work, has indeed accomplished to give, by all her expressive
means, a powerful image of the energy in the universe.
In this last phase, which is the organic evolution of a whole range of
other phases, a diversity of forms in every work (image, picture) is moved
in union, in the effort to depict the energy which creates them. So while
the subject is complex, a diversity of forms, it is at the same time simple
because it expresses only the energy, in its creative vibration, which
as it is proven by the more advanced scientific research of the century
(Eisenberg, Einstein, Planck, Hermann, Lawden), acts like universal spirit-soul
which creates, controls and regulates everything.
This painting is in absolute contrast with the programmatic painting.
No imitation model can be traced in it, because it starts with archaism
(as every reviving art). It rejects from the beginning every dexterity.
It uses an instinctive language (token of genuiness), which results to
a secure pictorial instinct.
The fluidity of handling with the dynamically charged brush stroke reinforce
the dynamic quality. The rapidity of the execution gives the feeling of
knowledge and force. The compositions are based on a visionary symbolism,
which shows the universe in its evolutionary movement. The space concept
is macroscopic and the scale even of the smaller works, indicative of
the infinite. The elements that are depicted have been conceived as energy
forces that show the cosmic dynamism, which is expressed through the light
and colour.
The boldness of the pictorial vision shows that it is based on absolutely
internal sources. It aspires to show the vibration of the energy existing
everywhere, in the universe, like a driving force, and creator of forms
and the necessity of its consciousness as a common constituent and universal
superconsciousness, which unites all the beings in their diachronic evolution,
from the duality state to the unity of an attainable perfection.
The works of Efi Athanassiou have been measured in enorganic research,
from the collaborating with the University of Milan, Institute of Research
and Application of Bioactinic Energy, in order to ascertain the level of
their energy.
This energy, which has been traced during the analysis, recognized and
certified (No 79243-21 official translation of the Ministry of Exterior)
is classified above the Highest, to the Extra Level, which is expressed according
to the following graduation fluctuating from the lowest to the highest
(maximum) level, that is: Normal, Medium, Highest and Extra.
This above Highest, level of the paintings, of Efi Athanassiou, which has been confirmed,
shows the maximum of positive and reviving energy, that is for this reason
therapeutic.
Efi Athanassiou has for many years been occupied with extensive relative
researches (concerning the energetic character of colour handling), especially
concerning the colour therapy and a book of hers has been published with
the title “Colour Therapy and its application in painting"
(ION Editorial Group Co., Athens 2002).
